  Pretty good. Same type of thing as Cafe Rio or Costa Vida. I got a pork burrito and it was good. Not amazing, but I enjoyed it.
  
  The service was fine and the restaurant was clean.

  I came here a month or so ago and had an awful experience, and was hoping when we came to day it would be better, but it wasn't. A few months ago we came right before closing and the kids handed us our food in to go containers and said we couldn't eat inside. Super unprofessional. Today, I ordered nachos, but the beans and meat weren't drained, so I ate nacho soup. My chips were so soaked in straight water it was disgusting. The two girls who were in the food line did not smile once and looked like they absolutely did not want to be there. I love the food here, but the service is horrible. Won't be returning unless something changes.

  I'm honestly so surprised that barbacoa has lasted as long as it has in this neck of the woods, my family moved to highland when I was 11 & now I'm turning 23 this year, & this place has been here the entire time. it's just decent, not bad but not great either, I think the only reason it's still kicking it is because it's conveniently located by everyone in the highland/alpine/cedar hills area- & it's not like we have many great options around here anyways. cafe rio & costa vida are both much, MUCH better, but barbacoa gets the job done every now & again.
  
  we got some salads to take home last night for dinner, & the only reason is due to the 2for1 app that I recently discovered. they had a deal that was "buy one entree, get another of equal or lesser value for free". we arrived right before 7:00 pm to no one in the restaurant per usual, & got two large sweet pork salads to go for only $10, which was well worth the price! it beats heading next door to little cesars & getting a $5 pizza in my opinion.
  
  the ingredients here are not super fresh, the lettuce & vegetables tasted like they had been sitting for a while but the pork was good! they have a cilantro lime dressing that's pretty good (doesn't compare to cafe rio house sauce but it's okay). overall, barbacoa isn't a bad spot when we're in need of a quick, cheap meal & don't feel like going too far from home.

  The nearly $9 sweet pork burrito is waay too skimpy, much too skinny for the $9 range. Price goes up every time I come here unfortunately. Burrito tastes okay, it's just that post burrito I'm sitting here still hungry envisioning those small rice scoops, small bean scoops, etc

  Garbage service, mediocre product, small portions.
  Only reason I've ever been to this place is because I've had the 2 for 1 coupon.
  I've never encountered a more unprofessional manager in my entire life. No hyperbole, this is the truth.
  I will not waste my time going into details. This place is clearly on its way out and is doing whatever it can to cheat customers out of any extra dollar they can get away with. Make sure you check your receipts to see what they charge you for.
  A tip for the decision maker at Barbacoa, Don't offer 2 for 1 coupons if you don't want to honor valid requests to use them.
  They apparently given away too much for free and are grasping to survive.
  Hopefully a quality food option will take over when they shut down.
